New Anemone Dark Brown Stuff Came Out

Hey guys, I got an nem yesterday. Was doing fine, has been out all day until about 30 mins ago when it shrunk and spewed our some brown sticky stuff.

It coincided with me feeding the fish although I did not directly feed the nem.

Any ideas ?

It’s probably expelling zooxanthellae. They sometimes do this when adapting to new water conditions and lighting.

Oh man....thats just rude..lol.. Im not gonna say how would you like it if he did that to you!! These days its one on the different strokes for different strokes things so Im just gonna stay quiet...:p

So I just picked mine up and he’s been like that for 7 hours , should I worry? The guy I picked it up from didn’t have lights on his tank and mine does. Turned the lights off now but will it adapt?

Did you acclimate it and how and for how long?
Additionally, light is too bright for introduction.
Also, what is age of your tank?

Yea I acclimated it for 2 hours , about 9 months
