Question for the group. The first of probably many as I set up my first Apex.
I have a Tunze ATO. My plan is to replace it using one of the two FMM’s I have. I plan to use a high and low optical sensor to control. I’ll put a solenoid in that opens when the pump runs and closes when the pump shuts off. If both optical sensors fail the solenoidwill time out and close.
My thoughts are that gives me a control point and two backups. Assuming o can figure out how to program all this of course.
So my first question. Does all of that sound reasonably okay.
Next, ATO pumps. I know about the PMUP, however, I’d like to use what I already have if it’s possible. Also the Tunze pump seems to be a lot quieter than the Neptune pump.
The Tunze ATP pump has bare wires. Is it possible to use the Tunze pump it’s Apex. If so how? If I need add a connector that not a problem.
I think (I have look at spec’s) is a 12V pump. If so could it be as simple as wiring to a approximately spec’d 12V wall wart and controlling it through a plug on EB832?
Thanks in advance for your help.
