Would you prefer....

  • A new app, one that costs a one time or smaller monthly charge, but no shenanigans ( selling info)

  • A free app, but you'll have to deal with advertising and possibly selling your info

  • No app, the browser version is fine.

I totally understand why rev cancelled the previous reef2reef app, so that's not the point of this poll. It's good to see he was watching out for us, but who here has used R2R WAY less then what they used to since the app shut down? Personally, I love R2R so much that I'd be willing to spend money to purchase an app as opposed to a free one that advertises and/or sells your info.

Rev did touch on this topic in his recent interview with Ryan and Randy from BRS. I am curious what you were getting in the app that you don't get when using R2R on your mobile browser? Additionally, what would you like to get in a future R2R app?

I have exclusively used mobile browser for using R2R and to me it's just as easy as using an app. Plus you have access to much more features :)

The navigation was way easier, images were attached to thread titles, and overall I felt it was much more user friendly for a mobile device. It seems little, but when you're constantly searching threads for suggestions, answers, and people's experiences, the app (in my opinion) made it much easier. When you're taking a one minute break from your job, the app made it easy to quickly reply to a thread or search for a specific topic.

It's like the myfitnesspal app. I would never log onto the browser because the app is SO much easier to navigate when logging food and exercise.

Hmm with a new app, I would like to see the ability to easily add videos. For me, it's really about the ease of use.

Good feedback - thanks for sharing! I expect that another app will come eventually, but it may not be in the short term based on Rev's comments. Similar to @Crabs McJones, I use a mobile browser throughout the day to access R2R and have been please with the performance and ability to navigate.

Definitely personal preference and there's no right answer, just figured I'd share my thoughts :) no matter what happens I'll still only use R2R... I mean... How could you not?

Since tapatalk went away, I’m probably on this site 25% as much as I used to be. I just don’t like the user experience. I don’t like dealing with the drop downs and menus. It just doesn’t click with me....and I’ve been trying to like it.

Same, I definitely keep trying to use it to get familiar with it, but I'm still not at that point
