for my nano, never had a nitrite or ammonia spike either... it was odd. i have 2 firefish, 2 ocellaris and 1 yasha... they are doing fine ;;

Thanks ryunbaik. I am going to go ahead and add a clean up crew and go from there. The good news is that all of my brown diatom went away ... the bad new being it turned green.
