I was doing maintenance on my 39 cube and discovered what I thought was a small piece of my 10 year old LTA. I have a super destructive Maroon Clown in there also who is the closest thing I ever owned to a water bronco. I thought He was in some kind of mood , and took a bite out of the poor nem. After closer inspection, it looked like a baby to me. I knew He probably wouldn't survive in that tank if I was right. So I placed Him in my 40 breeder with only a Flameback and 3 Astrea snails in the tank. I figured if He was a baby and survived after about a week, I'd post a shot of Him. He's looking good for what He's been through and I changed a circ. pump for a smaller one so He can maybe get a foothold somewhere. Looks like that did the trick cause the sandbed is where it seems like He's going to attach.
He isn't over a week old. Any suggestions on feeding, or not feeding Him yet, or anything that will help insure His survival to adulthood would be appreciated.
Thanks for looking.

that is awesome! As far as food goes , I would be feeding some zoo plankton every other day or so . I had a baby BTA (sold) that I fed on zooplankton and it liked it

Cool. I would also start very slow on food. Maybe some brine or mysis (like one or two) a couple times a week. Not too much. Quality calanus is good too.

Thanks, I have mysis. Plus some othe frozen food I will sparingly try. You would think after having it's momma for 10+ years that I might know a thing or 2 about nems. I also acquired Her back then as an adult though. Might be a small difference. Thanks for your reply and help

Mysis may be too big to digest , that’s why I would recommend zooplankton or phytoplankton , put in turkey baster and give to nem with all pumps off then 10 mins later you can turn them back on , nem will be happy and full

Yes, use very small mysis and one at a time most. That was in my head, but did not say. I agree, maybe calanus or phyto/zoo is better.

That sounds good going smaller. Maybe I'll just try some supernate till I get some of the phyto/zoo.
Thanks
