New build on old foundation

So I received the go ahead from the spousal unit to start a reef tank. It's a 45 gallon tall hex front. Currently houses 2 5 Star General cichlids and a 8 inch long catfish. Plan is to take the fish to a LFS for relocation. I did this before at the same place for a big Flowerhorn that I had a few years back.

Good luck with the hex front system. Filtration may be an issue. Are you planning on a full reef system?

Plan is rockwork, corals and some fish. Wife had this tank setup as a reef tank in the past without issue. So I think I'll be OK with filtration.
