While moving my new (used) tank yesterday, 2 of the bulkheads for the overflow got damaged. The specific part I have, I am having difficulty finding. I am wondering if I would be better off simply replacing all of the overflow components with new?

What do you guys think?

Well, what part broke? My ESP skills have atrophied apparently, though if your bulkheads have that integrated hose barb, the mystic in me guesses they got snapped off ....

LOL... Sorry.. it broke on the threaded section just below the flange that sits on the gasket. so basically between the flange and the tightening nut that holds it in place from under the tank. I guess I should have taken pictures..

I used marine epoxy and glued it back together and reinstalled it into the tank. I don't intend to run with that though. I went ahead and ordered 2 of the full replacement kits in the link I posted above (tank has dual overflows).

Also, you are correct. The bulkhead has the integrated hose barb section, but that is not where it broke.

Yeah, definitely replace .

That is my feeling too.

I didn't ask how old this tank is. I have the distinct feeling that it has been around for awhile though. There is some minor water damage to a small section of the stand (easy enough to repair and reinforce) as well as rust on the door hardware. Most of the plumbing seems old and brittle.. I paid $650 for the equipment and tossed in another $75 for a few rock pieces and all of the sand.

The tank is made by Oceanic. Apparently they are out of business now as I can't find any links to that company. The sump is All Glass Aquariums MegaFlow model 4. Skimmer is Bubble-Magus curve 7. The overflow kit I posted above appears to be identical to the original. The LED light is a Current USA Orbit marine with LOOP controller.

I feel I am way ahead on this deal.. if I have to replace some older components, I feel that is a fair trade off for what I actually received.

Oceanic tank could be 20-25 years old, that's the 'bad news. The 'good' news is that there has never been a better built tank .....
