Got a copperband butterfly yesterday, hes done a little swimming, but has mostly stayed on the side swimming up and down, not just floating, actively swimming. When I first added him, he was going through the rocks, and swimming all around. What's going on, is it just normal new fish acclimation? When I was picking him up, I made sure he was eating, he ate at the store very well, but now hes not eating at all.
Just normal acclimation again?
One more thing, is it normal for a <2 inch panther grouper to hide behind the rocks all day? Or does he as well just need to get used to the tank? Or maybe it has something to do with the flow? It is sps flow, 6000gph in a 90 gallon tank (dont worry I'm going to give the grouper back to the LFS once hes 4-5 inches).
Thanks for advice
