Newest addition hows it look? Been in the tank for 5 days LFS said it was a gold maxima just want to confirm.

It looks like it's very healthy! If you hadn't done so yet, it's worth inspecting the shell for various hitch hikers such as parasitic snails.

Given it's smaller size I would also look into making a little clam feeder out of the top of a 2-liter soda bottle and dosing good clam foods for it, like phytoplankton. I understand they are more dependant on foods for energy when smaller rather than the larger ones which can get more energy through photosynthesis.

I dose phytoplankton 3 times a week should I spot feed the clam ?

Pacific East Aquaculture has a video full of info on clams. I also had a maxima, I didn't feed it anything extra, it was doing fantastic until a eunice worm took it out.

For real so you mean bobbit worm not like a regulsr bristle worm im looking to get a maxima this month and i just saw a bristle worm in my tank should i worry i can put a pic of it if needed sorry not trying to hijack the thread
