Hello!
I just added another clown to my 40 gallon that already had one clown. Almost immediately, the old clown but onto the side of the new clown. Is this aggression normal, or should I be concerned. The clowns are the same size FYI.

thanks!

They usually will fight it out until one submits and the winner will become the female and the other will become the male. Unless they have happen to be two females already.. Just keep an eye on them if you start to see many visible wounds on them then separate them.

If both are females, that’s going to be a problem.
Usually, when introducing new clowns to an existing one, we keep the new addition really small, so we know it’s a male to start.
