hello everyone, i am fairly new the saltwater aquarium world and ive had pretty good success with fish and i am currently setting up my tank to take on corals. I was curious if anyone could suggest a good beginners coral. I really dont care for mushroom corals and i was hoping someone could suggest another good starter coral

LA has a beginners area, even a special frag pack for beginners. Beginner Corals: Corals Suitable for Beginners in Saltwater Aquariums
Sometimes you can take a species and run with it, like zoas, they are awesome, and there are SO many varieties. But I suggest looking around and see what you like. The vendor forums here, and the regular threads have TONS of eye candy, I know I have a folder full of coral pictures.

Leather corals, tree corals, GSP, xenia, some zoos and palys, green or red caps, trumpet and candy cane coals.

Zoas, rhicordia, torch, frogspawn, toadstools...watch out for Xenia, shrooms, and gsp as they'll take over your tank.

I agree with the above. Leathers, frogspawn, torch, and ZOAS.

Try a Yuma if u don't like normal mushrooms. I have a Yuma rock and its one of my favorite pieces.
