Just goes to show, led's aren't the issue, light spread is. (I'm a big wide angle lens proponent)

Agree, spread and spectrum are vital. Might contemplate going back to leds.....

That's a big maybe though lol

Ecotech should rethink their cluster design. Unless the new lenses has fixed that issue?...

We could dub these Radion bubble tips?:D j/k

Will there be an upgrade path for previous-generation Radion owners to G4?
No. Unfortunately, the technical improvements in the G4 required the use of a new heatsink,
clusters, lenses and driver board. Because of these changes the shared parts between
the G4 and previous-model Radions are minimal.

BOOOOO!!!!
:(

Well, I guess I'm selling my XR30W Pro's then.. :(

I didn't care for the WA lenses. Killed too much PAR and didn't really do much in the way of adding more useable spread.
These lenses on the other hand should be very interesting. Groundbreaking if they perform as stated.

Why did they suddenly stop working?

The Radion Beta Testing never ends. kekeke :p

They work great, but I want those lenses!! Lol
I would be nice if they did become available for use on the earlier gens. Can't wait to see what real world use is like.

I purchased 2 XR15 PRO’s and one XR30 PRO for my 60’X20”X20” tank today.
The XR30’s are in stock at Premium Aquatics. Still waiting for the XR15’s to come in.

I hope the light spread is as good as they claimed. I have 4 Hydra 26’s on the tank currently. They have such a small spread that
I had to add an extra one to keep the par levels consistent.

I looked at a lot of lighting systems:
Giesemann Vervve (no mounting options and very little information available)
Giesemann (Aurora to wide)
ATI T5/LED hybrid to large
Kessil (programming issues and short life span)

Would be great if EcoTech would make lenses like they have on the Radion G4's for the G3's. That might endear customers to them while making their customers investment last a few more years.
