After a few years of begging, my wife finally gave in and allowed me to occupy the front room in my house.
The room has been used for storage for the past 4 years. I rented a 5'x10' storage and put all her "junks" in there :)
With all the extra space, the first thing that came to my mind was to get a huge sump and larger frag tank.
So I called up John at Advance Aquatics and ordered a 6' x 2' x 10" frag tank and 6' x 2' x 18" sump.
I'll be moving my 180 Gal DT and 40 Gal frag tank into the room and plumb everything into the new sump.
The plumbing job I did for my DT and frag tank is super crude. It's a miracle that there has been zero leak in the past 4 years.
So, this is going to be an interesting learning experience :) Stay Tuned

Plumbing materials ordered and delivered. The remaining parts will come from local hardware store.
Also bought some new equipment - Radions, pumps, etc.
Sump and Tank got here this past weekend. Advance Aquatics really delivered on quality and time.
I think i have all I need to start the build.

I'm using this rail and trolley system to hang the hybrid fixtures. It allows me to move the fixture back for maintenance and taking photos :)
Also did dry fitting on the plumbing today. This is where I'm currently at.
Oh and I ordered a massage chair and dubbing this room as a "man cave".

Never knew that plumbing could be this much fun.. lol. I think I'm 80% done. Next is to make them all permanent.
Also installed a new RO/DI unit in the closet and run the water intake and waste to the bath room. Haven't told the wife that I drilled holes on the walls. I'll explain myself when she finds out.
Also got my massage chair :)

Haha and yeah, I'll have to start explaining to the neighbors that I'm not growing weeds..lol
Wow. Looks amazing!
(I had to explain to my neighbors that the green radioactive phyto bottles in my back patio was not a meth lab :) )

My neighbors said "lots of blue lights coming from your house... Not growing anything illegal over there are ya?"

Hit em with the "no, blue light won't grow weed, that needs more light on the purple/red spectrum."

They tend to stop asking questions when you actually do know how to grow weed

Next is to plan how to move all the livestock as quickly as possible.

Looking good Dan! What type of stand are you using for that new frag tank? I'm thinking about ordering a 5ft frag tank from John also and was looking into building one myself with 2x4s because I want an open style stand like yours.

thanks bud!

Thank u :)
I have bare bottom on the new frag tank. I kept all the sand from the DT. I figured they contain all the good stuff accumulated in 4 years.

Awesome bud! Yeah, John's tanks are great quality. Good luck with your new build.

Some shots from last night. Still have lots of wires and cables to tuck in and organize :( saving all the non-fun tedious parts for the end.
