In my constant struggle to have NO3 and PO4 (fish poop), I decided to add another fish. I already have a Springeri and an Azure in my 11 cube. Researching I found that I needed something that is fairly peaceful and doesn’t look anything like a damsel.

I found this aquacultured Banggai Cardinal that looked super healthy at Petco. I was shocked. I got him home and acclimated and in a breeder box for the night. He was eating frozen spirulina brine shrimp right away. Best of all the damsels don’t even look at him. I put him in genpop today and he’s doing great. Eating and minding his own business. And I’m getting more fish poop!
