New frag tank sump setup

Hi everyone i am starting up an 80g frag tank and this is my sump I was wondering if anyone has some advice on what I should add to it? I was thinking to put some live rock and macroalgae in the middle chamber and then run some filter floss in the small blue section before the bio ball and (future) refugium chamber. What do you guys think ?

How do you recommend the bio balls as opposed to socks? I am debating balls/socks or plain filter floss.
