New Hammer, Flow question.

Hello! I recently picked up a “Rainbow Hammer”. I’m thinking the flow is ok but would like to double check here with y’all. Possibly too much flow coming in on the right side of it? Or would this be considered a happy/good amount. Thank you!

Looks perfect for now. Once it grows more heads you can increase. A gentle sway is what you are looking for and it seems you have it! Good luck!

It looks good to me too but I don't like how it pulls to one side, I like my polyps to jiggle side to side

Yeah definitely wanting that sway flow to improve. My tank for sure has mainly a right to left flow (its a small 15 IM tank). I might move my hammer to where the "TSA Shrek" Alveopora Goni, that you can see behind it, which is a bit more in a cove/less direct flow, and move the Alveopora where the hammer is cause it may benefit from more flow too. But yeah, the pulling to one side like you mention is what I was worried about as well.

Is it common for Alveopora Goniopora to like more flow overall compared to Hammers? If so I might swap their positions. thx everyone for their answers so far

My gonis are in higher flow than the hammers.
You can create more bi directional flow by having 2 flow sources opposed, while pulsing one every few seconds or so.
I have 2 pumps at one end of the 4' tank, one aimed down the back side, one aimed down the front. The front one is on 5 seconds then off 5 seconds.
This creates a bi directional flow at the other end of the tank.
