Reason for screen name...I'm old and rusty...LOL

Been around saltwater and have had aquariums most of my life, Born and raised in Miami Fl until I moved to Tennessee 10 yrs ago.
We (My wife and I) love it up here in the mountains, but I do miss the saltwater and all it offers. I used to dive and collect my own fish for my tanks, while it was legal back in the day.

I'm old school with my limited knowledge in the newer ways of running maintaining a marine aquarium.
Built a 455 Gallon free standing tank 30ish years ago, and ran some smaller tanks for many years.
I'm a DIY guy...If I can build it vs buy it, that's what I do.

Looking forward to learning new ways to do this with the better equipment available these days. Didn't have sumps and the fancy lighting years ago. It was big silent giant pumps, cotton and activated carbon canisters and florescent lights...But it worked.

Just picked up a used 75 gallon tank to get me moving again. It's an older tank that needs resealing, glass is in good shape.
Planning to run a 20G long sump. Would like to have it down stairs (the sump) with the tank upstairs in my living room.
Don't plan on live rocks to start, Just fish but want it to run quiet.

I do more lurking and reading than posting.
Looking forward to learning a lot !!

Thank you for adding me in,
James

Welcome to R2R, can't wait to see what you do with the 75 gallon you picked up. Can we interest you in starting a build thread?
