Hello, I’m new to the saltwater hobby. You all can call me Sky. I’ve got experience with freshwater but I have always wanted a big reef tank. I just bought a 150 gal. I’m starting square one so I hope to learn a lot here. Thank you for having me and I look forward to talking to you all.
Hi and welcome to r2r

the only difference to this side is it’s a little salty …

feel free to ask for help and advise along your journey

Welcome to the salt side of the world!

One of the best pieces of advice a friend gave me when I started was not to go cheap on lights just to save money….you’ll end up having to upgrade down the line anyway!
Haha I have heard that phrase and picked out some very expensive lights. I think they are going to be the most costly part of the setup. I don’t mind though. I wanna do it right the first time. Like you said I would definitely wanna upgrade later otherwise.
