an ever changing landscape.
Bertram moved into the fish hide so I was able to reposition his cave into a more future proof location.

also introduced a powerhead w uv to help w flow and increase oxygenation. Seeing if this will help bring more stability to my ph as it’s seen some spikes around 7.5-7.8.

still not ready for coral but in progress.

Buella took a wrong turn near Coral and Marlins cave last night

they now face manslaughter charges
Should have separated him when coral attacked my sponge for the first time last night.

RIP Buella, at least you weren’t hungry :(

In light of the aggression I guess I’ll have to lean in on the clowns and make this their habitat preparation starts for corals then since they killed my dream.

stocking order was all off this tank.

next one maybe a pico w a mandarin. I have a half moon sitting around

I'm Sorry about Buella! I plan on adding a Mandarin last in my 32gal. I want to get the hang of Reefing and really develop a Pod population first before adding the picky fish. Have 2 clowns right now, adding Lawnmower and Royal Gramma next.

I think an acclimation box may help w the next one. Or rescape the rock to get rid of the clowns claimed territory.

idk i will have o e though even if I need to plumb in a display fuge

Welp, Bertram got too close to the hob intake and couldn’t escape.

pre filter put back on.

still worried about new livestock now with the clown aggression.

remodeled the rockwork though.

Introduced four lyretail mollies today
Drip acclimated over two hours at about 5 drops a second.

Seem stable and happy
Ate at dinner time foraging fill tank w minimal interference from coral.
As anticipated they are faster than her so able to evade her when she tries to bully.

Think I’ll wind up using my breeding chamber as it was intended for a generation or two try to maintain a decent sized population if at all possible.

Only time will tell

I’m back. Found a new 20 long decided I wanted to take a stab at a reef again.

Built up a little goby tank is the plan rn.
I am thinking some sort of sand goby I gave him supported rocks for cave building and a deep sand bed.

Also want a mandarin again, last one picked pods off the wrong rock and met a grim fate w a pack of clowns.
