I'm off to get a total knee replacement tomorrow. I'l lbe gone until Tursday I think. Wish me luck! Being a recovering addict of 9 years, I'm still terrified of the narcotics I'm gonna have to take.

Good luck friend. I know what you mean, i dread taking pks. My friends mom just had a replacement and she says it was the best decision o fher life, i hope yours turns out just as good.

Good Luck

A speedy recovery to you friend. Just keep your laptop with you during your down time and we will keep you company.....if not.... at least we will keep you amused!LOL

yes, keep a laptop in the hospital if you can! it can get rather boring.

but in all honesty.....i've done quite a bit of work with ortho surgeons.....and patients' responses to total knee operations say they have relatively little pain after surgery. it just feels different to try and learn how to walk again.

IMO the only bad part of being stuck in a bed for a couple days is the catheter.....ugh.....i'm a wimp i guess

Feel better and good luck with the surgery, Speedy recovery as well. and i feel your pain , I just had knee surgery myself last week and going thru recovery myself.

DOnt worry about the narcs they give , they suck lol
