Hello all, I'm Nicky, new to R2R but not new to the saltwater experience. I've had Nano reefs of various sizes throughout a couple of years.
In the beginning of 2024 I changed to a Red Sea Max E260 (without sump) and here's where todays story starts.
I've had a total system failure on June 30th with water coming out of the bottom front seam and me coming home from work to a 1/3 emptied tank.
I spent the rest of my evening until 1am transfering everything into a smaller spare tank we've had, mopping water and frantically preparing more fresh saltwater to fill the holding tank.
Right now I'm waiting for my replacement tank (a Reefer 300 G3) to transfer the fish and critters I was able to save that evening and get them out of the holding tank into a new setup. Since the new tank will have a sump (my first time working with plumbing and this different setup) I'm planning on documenting & sharing this new experience.
Cheers, Nicky
