i just picked up 3 female lyretail anthias yesterday and they have still yet to eat anything. i tried brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, flakes, and pellets. id this normal since they are new to the tank or should i be worried?

Happened to me also. My two were very very picky eaters. Two weeks and they would ignore every food, or eat it and spit it out. I tried many things. Finally I bought copepods and reef plankton, and they gobbled it up and from then on they started experimenting with other foods and now they eat mysis and almost anything else

I started my lyrtails on newly hatched baby brine, I feed at the same times every day so new fish get used to the schedule pretty quick, in a few days I was able to introduce prepared foods and they ate it.

And then soon they will beg like you never knew a fish could beg.
