Hi all, just wanted to share my newest addition to my tank. I'm not the best photographer so please dont mind. I really like this maxima clam, I think it has nice potential. Thanks for looking!

beautiful clam!

I'm curious, is it cool to keep clams on a pvc like that? I've seen them at some stores like that too but didn't know if the clams like this or no?

Not sure stores probably do it to keep from clam attaching to something. But mine sits in the sand in my tank and has done great for years

My tank right now is bare bottom, and the area I want it in, it's still too small and kept getting knocked on its side, so I just placed it on the pvc for now until it can fit in the desired spot I have for it.

Nice looking clam! Can you post some side view shots and a top down shot? I'm thinking it may be a Squamosa but I'm not positive.

+1 on it being a Squamosa based on coloration and pattern...beautiful clam!

It's got really big scutes for being little, +1 squamosa. Hopefully you didn't pay maxima price for it, unless it's blue! ;)
