You have all this in a 40-gallon tank, what is in your sump?

In the sump I have a sock a skimmer carbon floss a return pump and a refugeum area with crushed coral and 2 pieces of live rock
I had cheato but it died from the vibrant

The good news is that the water returned to crystal clear this morning
I’m still reading 0 nitrates but I stopped adding + NP
