Picked this up a couple weeks ago. Its the biggest micro colony that I have ever seen.

wow, that is...fairly large!
lol the largest ive ever seen was around 200 heads
how many does that have...400, 500?
is it really that purple though?!
ive seen some that look similar to that but not THAT purple

Haha, I got a good deal on it. It was actually in the LFS I frequently visit for over 3 weeks. I was there when it came in, it took me a while to actually buy it. From what I can see its at least 400 heads, I didn't really bother on counting them. I may have some for trade in the future, but I really want to keep it how it is as a show piece. It really is this purple in my tank. I am running 6x54 T5HO on a 67 gallon tank.

Nice score. Although I'd like a frag of it too It'd be nice to see a pic in a year too. I wish my LFS had something like that.

Very nice score.... If I was going to frag it I would only take a small frag and let that grow out more frags for trading and then keep the main colony in tact. Wonderful show peice. :)


I agree. Can I get the first frag. :marv

I have that also...much smaller colony though...FraggleReef calls it the Blue Meanies Micromussa

That was the plan too. haha. Not sure when it will happen. I'll keep you guys updated.

Picture taken after feeding tank with rods food and PE mysis shrimp. Color balance is a little off on this picture, the micro should be more purple in color.
