I ended up building a canopy and mounted them underneath. Otherwise, I'd post a pic. It wasn't terrible, but noticeable from the side . . .
Yeah I ended up mounting them yesterday and definitely noticeable. I’ll probably try to DIY a hanging light bar for these guys

About to place an order for these for my 72" 125. For now I'm thinking of going with 2 200w since they SAY their spread is 36x36. Most of our more light demanding corals would be centered, and things like zoas or softies on each far side. I'll just keep these raised up to help with spread and up the intensity if newer) needed.

We currently just have softies and BTA.

This sound like it will work for now? I also have other lights I can use to supplement if need be until could order a 3rd.

Do you guys think 3 of the 200w will suffice over my Innovative Marine 200 gallon or would 4 be better? The width is what worries me. I keep a Mixed reef with LPS and SPS dominant. It’s 71.3 inches by 30 inches wide and a hair under 22 tall. I ordered 3 with the controller. I have a couple Orphek blue+ if needed for supplemental lighting, but I’m not sure I want to use them. I’ll be switching out my current ReefBreeders photon 50 V2+ that I was using with the Orpheks. It’s a great light, but doesn’t cover the whole tank…Also with it coming with mounts it will be a cleaner look. Also, not sure which way to mount them. Sideways or front to back. Thoughts??
I have the ext 170 and run 2 photon 50's for an even blanket of coverage. I also run 3 or4 uv/v bars. I prefer the panel over the puck style leds for coverage.
I have to use 3 xr15's on my ext 50 30×24×16 to get even coverage.

Let us know what your par map looks like when you get them hung.

I have to tell you the blanket of light or spread is way better than the photons produce, even with the photons layout. It might have to do with the lens and the way the pucks are frosted kind of like a built in diffuser. They are very comparable to the Radions. The par is plentiful with the Nicrews. I have the blues and uv's turned down to about 55 percent and the others much lower and get a blanket of par around 300 at the top around 200 in the middle and 100 to 150 on the bottom. The corals really pop too. My only complaint is no app. You have to use the controller, which is not a killer for me.

I will try and get a pic with a par map up here soon.

Can someone post their lighting schedule? I haven't had success with these lights using their default lighting templates.

This is how I have mine set up

12 hours
9am to 9pm

9am to 11am blue/violet ramp up
to 100%
11am to 1pm white/green/red ramp up
to 50%
1pm to 5pm full spectrum
b/v 100% w/g/r 50%
5pm to 7pm white/green/red ramp down
to 0%
7pm to 9pm blue/violet ramp down
to 0%

Yes I know I have some algae and cyano. I’m working on it.

1 of the Nicrew 200w came in. MUCH brighter. The other one comes in tomorrow. Gotta decide if 2 is gonna suffice or if I need a 3rd.

I've got the R24 running still to see if maybe 1 on each end would help, but likely ditching them all together on this tank.

I've got them on easy mode right now, ramp up starting at 10:30 am, lights off at 11 pm.

Blues/violets/green at 30/30/10.

Full spectrum with 100 on blues and violets, 45 on white, 35 on green, and red at 10.

Sunset starts at 8:30 with the 30/30/10 on blues/violets/greens.

This sound good?

Even the fish look better under these lights. I'll have a fill assessment on adding either another 200w or a 150. Honestly not sure I'm gonna need it even with the bracing bars in the middle. These things out out a LOT of light.

How much bigger is the mounting bracket that goes on the rim. Is it the same size as the currents? I need to know if it'll fit my cutouts. Thanks.

It's much wider for the plastic trim on the Nicrew. Just have to feel under the plastic trim to get the screw into the washer. Wasn't hard at all and fits perfectly. Much easier than the current mounts were if that helps.

Both lights are up. I really believe the spread on these is definitely enough for just 2 lights, for now anyway. Absolutely thrilled with how much better these make everything looking on the tank.

Have you messed with any settings?

A little bit. I adjusted the easy setting to my ramp up and down times. Added my whites to 30 just for looks.

Full spectrum for me is this. Anyone else running the red and green at this level?

I actually just bumped the whites down to 25 and I think it's perfect. Just so happens that's the recommended AB1? Setting nicrew recommends.

If I'm doing most of our corals in the center, and mostly softies off to the sides, I really don't think I see a news to add another. They got the spread on these done very well.

What about the length?
