New PM2 module, is this salinity probe smoking?

I added a PM2 module so I could observe temp/salinity in my coral QT tank. For now, the salinity probe is sitting in the sump of the DT, in the same chamber as the original Apex salinity probe.

Here's the graph so far...I guess it needs to be calibrated, but also what the heck? These probes are sitting in the same chamber of the same system, why is it climbing all nimbly-bimbly? The probe came dry in a box with no little liquid cap, maybe it needs to soak for a few days before I can look at the reading?

You again! :P

I think the situation here is partially a software glitch - I could not calibrate my temp probe previously.

That's now resolved and the temp probe is calibrated, so now I need to calibrate the conductivity probe (calibration solution is ordered, the initial calibration apparently didn't work).

I think because of whatever (high) calibration value it currently has, the 2.2% temperature correction is causing this crazy variation. I'm hoping that once I re-calibrate it and then put the probe in the same tank as the temperature probe, things will start to seem sane.
