I just installed a new pump the Jebao DCT Marine Controllable Water Pump 4000, i have it on the lowest setting, since my eshopps overflow only does about 850 gallons per hour, my tank is only a 49 gallon bowfront. But ever since the new pump has been installed my filter sock is basically foaming. I was wondering if it might be the tube the overflow is using and if i should run PVC instead, or maybe this pump is just too strong. taking any help i can get.

i did, i actually wound up changing a bunch of things so im not totally sure what the cause was. I noticed turning down the flow of the pump helped with the amount of bubbles forming, i also have a flex tube that you see in the picture instead of PVC so i actually straightened in out so there wasn't a dip that would cause there to be an air pocket. and finally i switched from filter socks to a cup with filter fleece in it. I think its easier for laitance and now i have no bubbles at all.
