New purchase hydor smart level

Guys i finally bought it, but not sure how it works. In first go to check if the alarm works or no, i submerged all 3 probes in water, but there was no alarm. Here is the pic of the setup.

Very first day and it failed, had overflow in tank and a salinity swing... sending it back, they told me they will recheck it
