How can I get this guy to attach to the rock?

I just picked him up yesterday and he seems/seemed healthy at my LFS. I had the container over him like this all night, but he has still not attached himself.

Did I buy a nem with a damaged foot?

Possibly, but it would still attach if it was slightly damaged. Is it getting no flow? I've had nems not attach because they weren't getting any flow. It seems like a little flow will help them foot down faster.

Well, when I got home with him yesterday, I put on my purple glove and VERY gently held him in place for about 10 minutes.

Did not attach.

Then I used some plastic embroidery mesh I picked up from Hobby Lobby and made a circular tube around the rock. Still no go...

At the end of the evening, he was still floating, so I took the container he came in and covered him like on the picture. I did not want him to get sucked into a powerhead or float around and sting my monties or LPS...

I hoped he would attach himself overnight, but he is still like a leaf in the wind :(

I have about 7,000 pics and looked for a couple of ways to cover a BTA on a piece of LR and cannot locate.

I have had success with building little cages out of egg crate and another shaped to form from heavy plastic netting allowing plenty of flow while restricting movement...just a thought.

I'll fabricate one in a few minutes to show what I mean if you are interested. Allows flow, keeps clowns out for a few days to allow anemone to relax, etcetera.

I just made one down and dirty to show...if it were to be used, it would be smooth and no jutting pieces sticking out.

I did get it at Lowes and sprayed with 50/50 mix of white distilled vinegar/RODI fresh to clean it and then rinsed with RODI fresh before using in the tank(s).
