They work good like that- I added some algae scrubber screens in that section of the sump and let hair algae grow on them.

I’ll try to get some pics this weekend. I never had high nutrients yet I still have hair algae. My thought was to give it somewhere more favorable to grow. The screens are slowly getting covered with hair algae and I manually remove it from the display about once a week.

Amazing acros and pictures! What are the Orphek color channels set to while taking these shots? Is it all blue?
Are you using an orange filter? I have an orphek and cant produce such quality pictures!

Thanks! I usually shoot with channels 2 and 3 at 100% and 10% for channels 1 and 4. I either shoot with an orange lens or use a white frag plug and adjust the white balance in the macintosh photo application.Either way works fine. The key is to use a good macro lens/porthole or similar to get the lens underwater and a tripod with remote switch. This allows you to do a longer exposure without blurring and get decent depth on your photos.
