If only they made it black. Pics I saw it was glowing and I need as little light as possible. That was the only reason I passed.
Mine gives off a soft lighting and if it were a problem, I had considered either black acrylic on the outside or a partial black housing 3-D printed to serve as a slide over hood
Have you got the large ‘pro’ or the plumbed version? I’m assuming pro?I absolutely love mine and in fact just cleaned it an hour ago. This is after three weeks from last cleaning. I have the large one.

Ya my lfs offered me a very good cash deal on one and I considered getting one and trying to black it out but decided not to chance it. I'm happy with the surf so far. I had mixed feelings but am actually liking the floating design. It takes up less space in the sump area. I haven't harvested yet but had algae growing in about 2 weeks on a new system.
