Tom Hanks Hello GIF

Welcome!

I recommend getting some rock cycling in a Rubbermaid for the next few months, it'll help a lot!
Thanks, that’s why I’m here!!!

Welcome to R2R, the greatest community out of water. I wouldn’t worry about a QT for corals yet. I would focus on cycling rock for your display tank. I like starting with wet rock, it’s more expensive but has amazing beneficial bacteria. If you’re interested in going this route, check out Tampa Bay salt water’s rocks.
Thank you, that’s why I’m here!

Hey!
Preparing to setup 50 gallon Innovative Marine Reef aquarium. So far I have 2 heaters, one bag of sand and a Kessil AP9X. No tank yet😂
Contemplating setting up 10 gallon quarantine tank to store corals while waiting for main tank to get up and running which I estimate taking 5 months. Thoughts?? What equipment would I need for successful 10 gallon coral quarantine tank.

Thanks!!!

Welcome. Having a qt up and running isnt a bad idea. I keep a qt tank running all the time with a couole mollys and a green chromis. All you need is a decent cheap light, heater and an overpowered hang on the back filter. Its in my basement and is kind of cool looking in its own right
