I have a 150 deep tank and I had kept a small Wheelers Shrimp Goby and Yellow Watchman Goby. They could not stand to be in the same area as each other. Both have even tried to jump. Well I used to have a Diamond Watchman Goby and I loved how he kept the sand so white. His jump, however, was successful (or deadly). Then I saw a 4-5" one in my lfs. I was skeptical because I thought he would surely cause my other two gobies harm or make them scared. I went for it though. This guy is twice the size or more of the other two. When I first put him in, the shrimp goby jumped out and I noticed him flopping on the floor :(. Picked him up and put him back in and watched him float back to the bottom... Right in the new gobies hole. I knew he was a goner. When he come back to reality he swam away and his for a few hours. Well a couple of days passed and I didn't really see my two gobies that I had before this new one. Then one night I squirted mysis in the tank to the new gobies hole and out pops all three. They stay in the same hole! The first gobies never could get close to each other and I just knew the new guy would eat them. Now they all hang out with each other and live together. I guess the near death experience story from my shrimp goby was good enough to convince the other two to live happily together. Just wanted to share this.
