I am currently running an aqueon 38 with 3 kessil 160's and all HOB equipment. Have a mixed reef, sps through softies and most is thriving.

My father recently passed away and my fiance and I will be moving back home to help with my mother and the house. This triggered a need for a new tank and upgrade of course pretty quickly. I want to get the new tank up and running for a few weeks to make the transition seamless as possible before we move and rent our condo.

Not my ideal setup but this is what is going down, let me know your thoughts.

75 gallon aqueon, marineland pine stand
Eshopps 1000 hob overflow
Pvc plumbed with gate valves to a Trigger systems ruby red 36 sump. Using the reef octopus 1055sss 6" space saving skimmer. Kessil tuna flora a 80 for refugium section. Added one more kessil 160 for a total of 4 units on display. Reef octo varios 4 DC pump. Possibly running a cheato reactor off of my 38 if the refugium doesn't work well. Two jeabo ow 40 wavemakers and a hygger 500w heater w controller. Thoughts? With sump and tank I should have around 100 gals of total volume. Would be my biggest tank to date. Pretty excited. Pics to come.

deepest condolences for your loss.

have you considered trying to drill the tank instead of the HOB Overflow? Looks like a good list of parts. i personally would not do a 500w heater. I'm too paranoid of them boiling my tank. i opted for 2 x 250w Eheim Jager for my 75 Gal with 60 Gal sump controlled with a neptune. cant wait to see it up and running

Thank you for the kind words. Great advice, I hadn't even thought about the heater issue. I will definitely be returning the 500w and going with 2 200w units. Its in a basement that stays about 68 degrees.

Here are a few, did some additional bracing and leveling and routing of the marine land stand to fit the aqueon 75. Dropped in the sumo and did some test fitting. Hopefully some rough plumbing tomorrow. Reef octo 150 skimmer is ginormous lol. Makes my aquamaxx 1.5 look like a toy.

Thanks again for the kind words and sage advice. Dual 200w heaters are sitting in the box :)

Everything is wired and plumbed, will be adding water tomorrow. Will move over my 4 a160 lights when I do the tank move. The interior leds are a little over the top but hey they were 15 bux, lol. Fun build but have alot of other stuff going on so keeping the wiring tidy was tedious, its not perfect by any means but the floor of the cabinet is clean and no cables in danger if there is flooding.
