Hello everyone,
I have a 50 gallon mixed reef with a 20 gallon sump, I want to get a new skimmer because my shops psk 100 is dying. I am thinking about getting either the bubble magus curve 5 or the reef octopus space saver 150. I am looking for any input on these two or any other skimmer suggestions, I.d like to keep price under $300.00. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have used a few different protein skimmers and have so say that I really like my Reef Octopus 150SS. Very consistent skim and has been one of the easiest to get set where I want it.

My recommendation......go for the Sea Side Aquatics ES5. It is the Bubble Magnus skimmer but with a Sicce pump.....a much better pump. You can find them new for about $250.
