Make sure that you installed the depth dial correctly. If you turn it to minimal the outflow should be wide open. I had mine at 10in. Also just a thought on the drain... your saying the cup is overflowing but nothing is coming out the drain. Did you remove the white plug? It looks lik its hollow but its actually plugged inside.

See if you can find any depth recommendation for your skimmer online. Some manufacturers recommend one thing and it works better with another. I have a reef octopus and mine is in 6 inches of water. Could also be a break in issue.
I was looking manufacture recommendation is 9-11 most people running 7-8

So I’ve purchased my first protein skimmer for my 85 gal total volume tank and I got a temp stand set up for the skimmer ( just some small cups until I can get an actual stand lol) and I was wondering if these bubbles are too fine or not. I know they have a break in period and adjust slowly to changes so I was just wondering how it looks maybe some tips and tricks. Thank you in advance

It will take a week or two for the acrylic to stabilize in the salt water. After that it should calm down. For now I would reduce the air going into the skimmer so you don't get a wet skim.

Again... I found my sweet spot at 10in. All systems are different. Play with the dial... move it to the next number and see what happens. Then the next number and see what happens. See if the water level in the skimmer goes up or down every time you change the number.

i also found out there is an air valve to let more air in and the bubbles have gotten bigger and it looks a littlebit more dry but still lots of bubbles coming throug
I don't think that's an air valve. Its really a silencer. You can only really decrease the amount of air it sucks in but can't make it suck in more air.

Maybe let it run for a bit without skimmer cup to break in and see if it settle down after a week.

In the process of me playing with it I have woke up this morning to a taser sound going off in my sump. Heater was going bonkers. It looks like the fish are okay from what I can see but I can hardly see into my tank because I’m battling green water as well. This tanks been giving me hell!

Yes it is!
I cranked the dial to almost minimum and as the cup is filling up I see my tank clearing up as well like the green is dissipating which would make me so happy. I’ve been having some horrible green water issues and If this is what clears it up I will have to stick with this brand for a while haha. Also I thought the tank was really a goner today when I woke up to play with it my heater was shooting out sparks
