Threw in the towel on finding a stand to house my sump and support my 17g rimless. I built one. All out of reclaimed lumber
the wood came from old locker room benches, turned out to be white oak. Nice stuff.
First I, with help from my uncle who's got a ****** wood shop, planed the "benches" and got them down to their original appeal. Then ripped the boards into 2x2's and 1x2's. made joint n tendons on the pieces, glued em up, slapped em together and wrapped it in 1/4 ply(only $ spent). Trimmed it up nicely with the same wood. About 1/2 inch strips.
OH the top came from a headboard. It was already joined n we saved time on joining a top. It's very nice.
All in all I spent about 17 dollars to build this beautiful thing. It really pays to have the tight tools and knowledge. So shout out to my uncle for letting me use his shop and his tools haha
here she be:

my only concern would be the weight if I had a bigger tank on it. 17 gallon womy be too much especially with all the wait be put on the legs. The dimensions are about 40 x 23 x 36h-big enough for a 40b, which will be the next adventure
let me know what you guys think !
