I am looking to replace my current sump, a Trigger rollermat sump 30 with the Theiling roller mat attached. I have been have leaking issues with it lately and am looking to possibly replace it. My sump is in the basement under my tank so space isn't and issue. I am filtering a 80g reef tank and 35g frag tank. I am looking for a sump with a rollermat built in or the option to add one easily. I have been looking at the new Trigger Titanium sumps but have been reading bad reviews on there new roller mats. Let me know your thoughts!

Personally I would find a sump that meets your internal space requirements and what you want to put in it. I personally don’t like external roller mats due to leaking issues. However I am very pleased with the RedSea roller mats. The space requirement for internal sump space is very reasonable and the fact it sits in the sump essentially eliminates the worry of them leaking since it’s in the sump. Just thoughts as you’re deciding.

In the past I loved eshopps sumps and ran them for 20 years. Now I have the stock sump that came with this Red Sea tank.

thanks! I will look at the Red Sea roller! Space isn’t an issue with the sump being in my basement. So really anything could work.
