New T5 fixture on its way

okay so ive been looking for fixtures and i came across this one! i really liked it and ive heard its a good fixture! it has independent reflectors which is what i was looking for! does anyone have experience with this light at all!? ill post about it when i get it! i ordered it today and its supposed to be here Wednesday! its gonna be a long 4 days:mmph::roll::biggrin1:

I think it looks nice. Could be a nice combo with the LED as they are a bit more powerful then standard moonlights at 1w each. so they may be able to add some shimmer to the T5 and give nice mi of both worlds. The T5 color and growth and the LED pop with the blues. I have not been super impressed with my Radion G3 and been contemplating going back to T5 so i am curious as to how this looks. Does it add shimmer and all

if i were you id do t5 or t5/ metal halide because led's are spotty and leave dead spot in the tank. i used to have aqua illumination vegas and i didn't like the look at all. and jonreefer above said what just about all my friends said about radion and that is they are going back to t5's, halides or a combination of the two. in my experience of using ALL forms of lighting and wasting thousands of dollars on experimenting i found that metal halide/t5 will give you the BEST growth and the colors you will get out of your corals will be breathtaking. one drawback is heat and high costs to run them together. but in my opinion we ALL know that great looking corals doesn't come cheap and there is no cutting corners

Yeah but there's 21 big leds on this and I already have a heat problem and have been team t5 for a while now I'll mainly have on the t5s and lowbkight led

i ended up buying a 6bulb tek T5 unit and selling my Radion. I just wasnt impressed with the radion and colors my corals turned. they looked so much better with the T5 and since adding the radions they are kinda just blahh now

Since you're asking for input. The LED's are 1 watt, they won't add much par at all. I like the two cooling fans. I think the price is on the high side. It comes with legs to sit on top of the tank, I think you'll want it close to the tank. Why the hanging bars?

I'm hanging it cause I only have a 2 bulb t5 right now and itll be a big jump in brightness and don't want to shock anything so im gonna hang it higher and slowly lower it down
