Hi! im about to build a house within the next 12-18 months and want to build a new tank while im in the process of building the home so that it can be built into the home (not necessarily the wall but have feature of the home built to fit the tank.) What tank companies would you guys recommend and why. Im looking for a 300gallon tank not including sump. approx 84x36x24. Ive looked into reef savvy but no other companies so id like some feedback on who you guys recommend any why. thanks!!! Currently ive got nothing but innovative marine tanks and love it but want to do something that will last a lifetime essentially (if even possible). thanks in advance!

I bought my house because of some nice pillars dividing my living room and dining room. It was perfect to put a peninsula tank. I know this isn’t the answer you’re looking for, but maybe it’s an idea on how to design your house and you can just get a nice peninsula to put in.

Not a bad idea! I’ll keep it in mind! Currently I’m thinking of putting a 300g in my Living room against a wall and running the sump and equipment into a fish room behind that wall with a rodi system sink, drains, and storage in it then have my other tanks in a different room that’s on the other side of the fish room so all filtration and everything is in its own room lol

I have my third waterbox in a crate in the garage. Its a 235g. I have a100.3 running now and have been really happy with the build quality. I did an in wall in the fish room showing out into the living space. The did the odd custom plumbing for me and built exactly what i wanted. It was 10% off at the time and about the same price as the 290g stock. Alufab kit for the stand. Cant tecommend them enough. Again custom and great price. Service great with both companies.

Thank you! I’ll shoot them a message!

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend glass cages if you want a glass tank.

If you're going the route of acrylic then james from envision acrylics or fishtanksdirect are great from experience.

GC vs WB prices were very close for me. The 10% off at WB made the difference at the time. Never heard anything bad about glass cages. You can plan everything out on the website too.
