He's agreed to a full refund. If he wants the tank he can have it. But he's trying to get the shipping company to pay for the "damage". So I'm going to have to wait for this process. If it goes on much longer I will dispute CC charges.

Got a bigger problem than that!! The seam of the rear panel and left side panel was hazy. I banged in it from the inside and it completely separated!!!! Let the battle begin!!! UGH!

I agree with these guys. It's not your fault and you should get your money back now. It the builders problem to get his money back. You shouldn't be stuck in the middle.

Thanks all! I have the weekend to think. I know I should demand my money immediately but that doesn't mean he's going to comply. He's denying it left his place looking like that and its the shippers fault.

If you paid with a credit card file a claim! You get your money back and the credit card company takes it up with the tank builder

I agree. There is no reason for the tank builder to wait to issue you a full refund. This is now between the shipping company and them. I would worry that they are delaying in an effort to get you to miss the deadline for filing a dispute.

I agree, I would be on the phone with the credit card company filing a claim! Don't trust this guy any more than you already have. I would also inform the trucking company of his intentions and offer them the aquarium.
