Had some fun learning to model stuff tonight :)

Here is some modeling I did tonight. Its all pretty much to scale. I have a lot more stuff to add like the fireplace, t.v., some couches, ect.

I kind of like modeling this so I can see if I REALLY like the layout and design before I go start building it!!!

Any suggestions on designing the basement are more than welcome.

This is what I came up with so far though.

I don't know if I can link another wesite but the Beananimal Silent Overflow is worth to take a look at, is a modified system to the Herbie system, there's a very long thread on RC, check it out.

You can't link from there to here, but you can link from here to there....if that makes since! LOL!

Yea I know. I said you can't link from there to here. I don't understand that, but that's the way it is. Of course I completely could care less! LOL!

It's a great overflow system. I'm building a setup right now using Bean's system. I've personally seen one in action. Zero noise, and it has about 1500gph flowing through it, possibly more now that he has a new return pump. Works beautifully.

Looks cool Sikryd! Love the scale model... really helps visualize it!

Forgo the bathroom and make it an equipment room! Sumps, frag tank, R/O unit, utility tub, and countertops! :xd:

Thanks.
Yeah I am loving Google sketch. I taught myself to use it yesterday, then went to town and made a full scale model.

The basement is 25ft x 45ft - so I think the layout may be a little decieving.
No tank or equiptment room. If it can't fit under the tank, I don't need it. This is strictly a display setup. I'm not a big fan of crap everywhere, even it it means I can't frag stuff out. I'll keep one or two small blackrockreef frag racks in the back behind a tall rock structure and that is it.
I have everything under my 125g right now, which is substancially smaller, so it shouldn't be a problem even incorporating a calcium reactor and stuff.

We're trying to think and hear all kinds of ideas so we can be sure we love it before I start building it. Framing should start next week.

Ideas are welcome......
