I had a reefer 350 xl for about three years prior and sold/bought house and had to take down so I figured it was time to uograde

Is the cloudiness normal?

As already said you don’t want nitrate at zero, but phosphate should be kept very low at around 0.03ppm

And cloudiness isn’t normal for long periods, we might need to know what you’ve added if anything

I'm way new to this hobby,But I had had cloudy water after adding my sand. I put a 350 GPH Marineland hang on filter...cleared the tank in 4 hours.
