Tried putting this on the build thread received no reply's will try again. I don't see anything in my new tank that I was not expecting except the green algae on the rock that has bubbles on it. However any advice as to what is there and if I should take action now I would like to know BRS said just to let it go I don't know. This is brand new cycled fishless with lights off. Have lights on now for 3 weeks lots going on. I cannot siphon

What type of mechanical filtration are you using? What is your light cycle? What is your method of nutrient export?

Time for a clean up crew. I got bubbles in my green hair algae and never worried about it. For several months I used to pull the GHA out of the tank once a week. One day my GHA stopped and the chaeto started growing out of control. It's amazing how the tank goes through different cycles.

Using OCT skimmer, solid media filter, and sock. Light cycle is with my Aquanest lights set on LPS schedule with lights off at night. Come on 6:30 off 7pm

How often do you replace your sock?

Most things like this take time on their own to go away. Best to just embrace it imo.

made more mistakes trying to fix it and all it affects is the looks of things

And you should definitely shorten your light cycle. Especially with no animals in the box. No need to light it so long. Light = energy … you’re feeding the algae
