So. I've decided against rebooting my old glass 90 (48x18x24). It would require a CPR. I'm not interested in experiencing any negative outcomes secondary to such. So predrilled it is. Among my main concerns is quality. Also, I don't know whether to go with glass or acrylic. I'm leaning towards glass, as I don't want to take a chance on cracking or crazing. I understand the chances are minimal, but it would suck if it happened. So back to quality. I see some PD options as low as $900. I'm willing to spend more if necessary. I'm BIG in doing it right the first time. Something my old man taught me and something I've shared with my kids. I have an ugly stand that is functional, but want to maximize space underneath. So perhaps some recommendations on a stand as well. I want to put a 40G fuge below. Was running a 20G long. TIA.

Might not be completely ideal but I’ll share this, it’s on sale until April 1

Tank is custom made by CurrentUSA. They have 18 left
83g rimless, low iron (starfire) glass
48x20x20
Ghost overflow
26g custom glass sump
9g custom acrylic overflow
Hand built and assembled cabinet/stand

Sale price until 4/1 is
$1259 no plumbing kit
$1439 with plumbing kit

Both prices include nationwide freight shipping. It comes on a pallet and is packed excellently.

I bought one and so did some other members, the quality is excellent, especially the cabinet. It’s all overbuilt with a lot of nice touches added in

This is the thread I started about it, and the people that bought it are in here as well with pictures and feedback.

This is REALLY nice! And the price is great! Too bad I'm a fee months away from getting going. I have to get rid of my wood flooring and have tile put down. Once that's done, I'm good to go. The sump/fuge is a little small for my taste. I am looking to replace my DIY 20G long with a 40G breeder. And an overflow separate from that if possible.

Here's another question.....What if my return pump goes bad in a predrilled tank? I really don't know how the predrilled gravity feed works. I envision 90 gallons of saltwater flowing into the sump and then all over the floor. That HAS TO HAVE BEEN thought out. I just don't know the mechanics behind it all.

If you want a nice complete system look at Inovative Marine. They have many to choose from.
I have an ext 170 and am getting an ext 50 as a frag system. Alot of tank for the money.
