Hello everyone!

This is my very first post here so I hope I'm in the right part of the forum.

I completed setting up a 75 gallon tank with a 30 gallon sump. I also added live sand. After adding water I certainly expected for the water to be cloudy but not for my sump to be covered in "dust". I should also mention that I initially forgot to add filter floss and added it about an hour after all water was in the system.

Anybody here had this kind of experience and how did you get rid of it? Add powerheads to the sump to stir it up and hope it settles in the main tank and / or is caught in the filter floss??

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Cheers!

William

Thank you bigdrew and Brad for the quick response! I had a feeling that stirring it up would be the way to go but wanted to hear that from the seasoned folks around here!

Cheers!

William
