Have a 180 gal tank that has been running for over a month. I have 5 chromis in the tank and they are doing fine. It doesn't matter if I acclimate or not, the snails die. The only ones that have survived are at the top, above the water. If I let them attach to the side, they immediately fall off. Most of the astrea snails flip over. I use the same RO/DI water for all my tanks and everything is good. Thought maybe it is stray voltage, but the tank and sump is grounded.
