Got my new tank yesterday. a 40 gal breeder. Was 85.99. But I got it for the special price of free BRAND NEW! Got it free cuz I used my rewards card.

neways whats the best 6 bulb light fixture to get for this tank? T5s.

tek light t5s dont joke around.

my LFS uses them with great success. i do not recommend the nova extreme pro. they are kind of cheaply built. but they will work.

my last recommendation is an icecap t5 retrofit kit.

I'm going to use T5 retros on my 40 breeders but I have a 8 bulb tek fixture on my 75 sps tank and it is nice. Are you doing sps??? the only 40 breeder I plan on running that many bulbs on is for sps. Most of mine will have 2-4. 4 bulbs is really enough for anything short of light hungry sps. More light is not always better you can actually fade color and slow growth. Good luck and +1 for the tek fixture

dude i used the nova extreme pro for a while they did great and where built fine IMO not as good as tek but they where fine

i purchased the nova extreme pro 6 bulb for my 90 gallon and they seem to work nicely. my corals seem to be growing well also. the only thing is i wish i had a little better color pop.

I also have the Nova extreme pro 6 bulb fixture. My corals are growing fast with these lights. But will change the colors when they need changed.

Think im gonna go w the tek. Isnt that much more expensive than the nova 6 bulb fixture. at least on marinedepot it was. tek was 347 and Nove was 319?

Is it usualy a lot more for the tek?
