Picked up a new (2016) apex a few weeks ago for a build I'm working on and am trying to figure what additional modules I'll need.

Currently have an 832 and an EB4 (for dosers). Will have 3 gyres I'd like controlled via ice cap modules, a skimmate locker as a failsafe on the skimmer, and a varios 8 I'd like controlled by the apex.

I'm just now starting to organize my electronics panel and would really like to know if I'll need anything more than a breakout box for the float switches.

Thanks in advance for any help!

The breakout box is pretty straight forward, I used the reef keeper float switches and extended the wires with solder and heat shrink. I'm not sure if you need another box to do more than 2x 0-10v, but I think you only get two on the classic. I have the old school water/leak sensors, but I think on the new one it's part of the atk module?

I made my own extension cable to run an eb4 in the remote room, but you could purchase one if you have the need for putting a sensor/relay remote.

Just some ideas for you.

There's supposidely four 0-10v ports on the new apex split between 2 RJ45 connectors. The icecap gyre controllers come with a Y cable that can control 2 devices off one RJ45 port and I'm hoping I can use one of those to do both the gyre and the varios return.
